Children's Extraordinary Potential

profile

The project Extraordinary Potential of Children is a collaborative project using context-based staff educational practices as strategy to support the professional development of day-care and kindergarten educators. It aims at developing a pedagogy that recognizes and legitimizes the potential of children, valuing their competences to participate.
The context-based staff educational practices assume an ecological perspective, recognizing an interconnection between professional development, curriculum development and organizational development system. It follows the Childhood Association’s pedagogical approach for children learning and teachers’ development, as well as with the Effective Early Learning Project as a reference for monitoring and evaluating quality co-construction.
